Sycamore Gap

Sycamore Gap or The Robin Hood Tree is a popular destination for walkers, film fanatics and photographers. The Sycamore Gap tree is the one of the most photographed trees in the country.

It stands in a dramatic dip in Hadrian’s Wall in the Northumberland National Park and in late 2016 it took was crowned English Tree of the Year in the Woodland Trust’s awards. The tree is looked after by both the National Trust and Northumberland National Park
